History
A fragrance made for a king could only have been created by a fragrance house as powerful as The House of Creed. Millesime Imperial, created for Saudi King Faisal in 1995 has earned the top position in my scent collection as a second date or “what is he wearing” cologne.
CREED is the world’s only privately held luxury fragrance dynasty. Founded in 1760 and passed from father to son since then, CREED has served more than 10 royal houses and the discerning public for more than 250 years. Indeed, CREED is one of the 100 oldest family businesses in the world.

What’s In It?
Unheard of at the time, fragrance notes combined to create a fragrance a man at the top of an oil regime could come to love and adore. These notes include:
- Top Notes: Fruit Notes, Sea Salt
- Middle Notes: Bergamot, Iris, Lemon, Mandarin Orange
- Base Notes: Amber, Marine Notes, Musk, Woody Notes
Who Should Wear This Cologne
The man who would wear a cologne such as Imperial Millesime is one who is, fragrance wise, a step above the average guy who simply splashes on water that smells good. This cologne is for someone who aspires to be king (if only in his mind) of his realm. It doesn’t matter if that realm is his LIFE, a career, a video game console or the local bar.
Anyone I know who wears this scent is the master of all he surveys even if that vision only goes as far as a 1 bedroom efficiency. You Are running shit in your kingdom! The guy who wears a scent like this is one who enjoys getting compliments and questions regarding his fragrance choice. Think on it, not too many folks in your play group are wearing this.
This is your scent.
Imperial Millesime is the same catch all Creed Perfumes and Colognes have, they’re relatively expensive as compared to other colognes that retail at $50.00 or $60.00 per bottle. This stuff could cost you anywhere from $80.00 to $250.00 per bottle.
My experience wearing Imperial Millesime is that it’s well received by a certain group of women. This group includes ladies that have outgrown the Axe (sorry) or Acqua Di Gio crowd. When I wear this cologne out and about in diverse places from the art museum (yes I dig some art) or a cheesy Midwest casino, the reaction is the same, “what are you wearing, I haven’t smelled this one before?”
Other Stuff
Imperial Millesime is great cologne if you’re willing to put a little extra money into. To mitigate the cost of this, I would like to make the following suggestions:
- Find someone who already this cologne and is willing to decant a little and send it you (I have big bottle)
- Find cheap bottle on EBay (before buying check the seller’s rating and ask plenty of questions)
- Go to an outfit such as MyPefumeSample.com and buy a little
- Buy samples from Amazon or FragranceNet.Com-Best Value Alert! Think of several colognes you have always wanted to try. Order several at the same time to save on shipping costs!
