Looking for a worthy addition to your fragrance collection?
Looking for a signature scent that a lot of cats just aren’t wearing?
Well, I think you stop for a second and check out my thoughts on Sauvage by Dior in the EDP (Eau De Parfum) concentration.
Way back in the day, 2015 when this cologne was first released, I decided to make a blind purchase based on nothing but the name… OK, the ingredients too.
Sauvage….. what a hard and wild sound name for a cologne I thought.
The first thing that came to mind when I heard the pronunciation of the scent was the hard as hell Savage Oppress from Star Wars, Clone Wars. Yes… I’m letting my geek side come out but I don’t care.
A Real Attention Getter
Savage Oppress(pronounced like the cologne), brother of the legendary Darth Maul was a brute when it came to carrying out his missions. Nothing stood in his way and if he was in standing in the room at over 6 feet tall, ripped as hell, you couldn’t help but notice he was there.
This is something I look for in a cologne that’s going to be my signature scent. I want something that’s is probably going to be unique to the room and draws noses to me and creates attention which can lead to attraction.
To my mind, this scent tells the world I can be a wild and bad dude if I want to be and to get the hell out of my way when I’m on the march. It tells just when you think you have me under control and figured out, hold on and put the safety bar down because I’m about to break out and do the unexpected.
In other words, I’m not boring and begging to be tamed(changed).
Sauvage By Dior does this through an awesome opening citrus pepper notes that create an air of relaxation that is followed up by what the heck is going on thanks for the floral, pink pepper and old-school Patchouli and Vetiver notes.
The Bases Notes leave you on their minds thanks to woodsy cedar and ocean-like Ambroxan notes.
Fragrance Notes:
- Top Notes: Lime, Pepper
- Middle Notes: Elemi, Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli, Pink Pepper Sichuan Pepper, Vetiver
- Base Notes: Ambroxan, Cedar, Labdanum,
Where Should I Wear Savugage by Dior?
Thinking on a scent like this, my first thoughts are this cologne would make an excellent bar/club scent especially if it’s paired up with a nice unscented Pheromone like Alter Ego.
This combination has worked for me in the past when attempting to attract women who like “shady” bad boy types they feel they can fix These are great women to have around but often time specialize in drama.
If you’re really aren’t looking for the one to bring home to mom (who knows she could be the one) a woman like this is you probably should leave the pheromone at home.
In the EDP concentration, this is also a nice scent if you’re trying to attract someone on the job or at school. Just don’t use too much or you’ll blow the room out.
With its excellent projection, they will know you’re in the room. Silage rates are high as well so they will know you were there when you leave for the day.
Long-lasting, it may also qualify as a pillow scent. By that I mean a scent she’s going to smell on her pillow long after you’re gone.
Eau de Toilette or Eau De Parfum?
Sauvage by Dior comes in 2 concentrations, EDT (Eau De Toilette) and the more expensive EDP (Eau de Parfum). Both concentrations are great however do not expect the EDT concentration to last as long on your skin as the EDP version.
There are arguments out there that say the EDT, the less expensive version, is actually better smelling.
As a guy with over 100 bottles of cologne in his collection, I would say if you have the means, go with the more expensive version. After all its tax time (as of this writing) so why not splurge and treat yourself.
I get it that you may not want to pay between $95.00 and $114.00 for a bottle of cologne but think about it as I do. A 3.4-ounce bottle will last you forever if you used it every day.
Why not draw off(decant) a few vials of this cologne and sell it on eBay and get some of your money back while having enough cologne to last a long time.
