Two Scents I Would Like For Valentines Day(If I had a woman who would buy them)

February 5, 2011 by scentbro Leave a Comment

Glancing at the calendar, I noticed another gift giving “holiday” is nearly upon us. A day in which a man is judge not by the size of his dude but the size of the bouquet and or balloon set his woman receives at work. Woe be onto the man whose woman is the only one who didn’t get something delivered to work on Valentine’s day or his gift didn’t meet up to the gifts in the office.

Let’s face it, Valentine’s Day is a woman’s holiday, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s nothing saying a guy shouldn’t get a quality gift out of it.

With that thought in mind, I decided to come up with two frags I would like if I had a woman who would buy them for me.

2-Romance by Ralph Lauren-Romance released in 1999 is a great romantic scent hence the name.  Romance features:

  • Top Notes: Ginger, Lavender, Pistachio Leaves, Mandarin
  • Middle Notes: Basil, Cardamom, Saffron
  • Base Notes:  Patchouli, Moss, Musk, Vetiver

Two of the top notes in this cologne, ginger and lavender are great oils for easing the feelings of loneliness, calming the nerves and relieving tensions. Great things to have a on date or other romantic mission.  In my experience, the top notes show up fast and strong are long lived. About 2 hours.

That’s more than enough time to set the mood you’re trying to set. If you haven’t gotten her to relax and forget work, school, child support etc you probably won’t and will have to come up with another plan.

The middle notes in this cologne show up but pass quickly. The base notes of this long lived scent seal the deal.  Everything comes together at the right time like a well planned valentine/romantic date.

Let’s face it, we have to do it at least once a year, may as well do it with this cologne.

1- L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme -Released in 2004 is a “young dude” scent I discovered was taken over by an “old dude” in my office. This cat was a suave mutha@#$@. I had to have a bottle of that magic juice I decided to find out what he was wearing. I was blessed by the Valentine Day Fairies and received a bottle of my own.

L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme features:

  • Top Notes- Clary Sage, Coriander, Cypress Mandarin, Yuzu Verbena
  • Middle Notes- Blue Water, Bourbon Geranium, Celyon Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Saffron
  • Base Notes-Cypriol, Haitian Vetiver, Indiana Sandalwood, Tobacco Amber

Two of the tops notes in L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme are, Yuzu and Coriander are known aphrodisiacs. Aphrodisiacs won’t cause someone to jump your bones on site but they do promote relaxation which is essential to real love making. Mandarin also is thought to uplift the spirit, and help with depression and sadness.

L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme is another scent in my dating/romantic arsenal. Some would suggest otherwise but my experience differs from their opinion. L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme is a scent that will set you apart from the rest of the herd. Standing apart from the other guys is something you want to do while engaged in the mating game.

Let the other boys wear their Acqua Di Gio(Don’t get me wrong, this is a great cologne, I have a bottle of my own)smelling like, the other guys. L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme can be your signature scent of 2011.

There you have it, two colognes on my wish list that were purchased for me by loves of Valentine day past.
